Lauren Conrad is a stylist, fashion designer, and author. Her lifestyle website and blog reflects her personality and style perfectly. She is simple, classic, and pretty and so is her logo. It looks very simple and clean but says a lot about who she is. The colors are soft and appealing. Her fans know her as LC from her time spent in front of the camera on reality TV shows, so the letters “LC” in the logo make sense. Most importantly, it is used consistently throughout her clothing lines, books, and website. This creates a memorable brand in the eyes of her readers and consumers.

Endless Entertainment is nationwide event production company. Their blog is a place where they research and communicate important trends in the events industry. It is a huge success, partly because of the brand they’ve created for themselves. The brand is communicated clearly through the logo. It is simple, but modern. It consists of two lowercase letter e’s bonded together to create a cool logo. The colors used are bright greens that stand out among other logos.

Event Manager blog is another big player in the event industry blogsphere. Their logo is a little bit different than the previous two. It combines a retro looking colorful cube and text that writes “Event Manager Blog”. The text is consistent on all of the blog posts, creating a recognizable brand. When you click on their social media pages, the colorful little cube is there. Consistency is key in creating a brand.

My logo is clean, simple, modern, and a bit abstract. I chose the simplicity of it because I want people to just see my name, which is the brand I'm pushing. I chose the color because it is calming, easy on the eye, and matches the theme on my website. The font is artistic and modern. Each letter looks hand drawn, giving the simplicity to the logo a pop of creativity. The font will stand out in people's minds.

At meetings and conferences, event planners still typically choose to print conference schedules and other additional news in a conference packet or booklet. Attendees will see schedules, speaker bios, and more in the packet. This is also a chance for planners to acknowledge the event sponsors and print their logos in the booklet. In addition to the printed booklet, events often have an app that includes similar informaiton, including schedules and speaker information. The benefits are that it is more sustainable to try and go paperless, however the challenges are that it can be difficult and expensive to set up an app. A benefit of using print media is that attendees do enjoy having something physical to take home with them after the event, however a challenge with using paper is that it is less sustainable than going paperless.
My plan for distributing my business cards is fairly simple. Whenever I'm out, I will have some with me. You never know who you will meet that can become a great professional contact. To measure my success, I will make sure that I collect their business card when I give mine out so that I can follow up with them and make sure they remember our conversation.
