ABOUT ME
As a recent graduate of California State University, Chico, I am actively in search for a career in the events industry that fits my personality, skill set, and professional goals.
I currently live in San Carlos, California in the bay area with my mom, dad, and new puppy. I love where I'm from and would like to begin a career close by in the bay area. When I'm not working, I enjoy practicing yoga every day, cooking up a new recipe I find on Pinterest, and cozying up on the couch with a glass of wine and my pup. I love to travel and spend a weekend exploring a new place. Luckily we have so many beautiful and close getaway spots around California!
My passion for working in the events industry began during my time at Saint Francis High School. My mom helped coordinate an annual fundraiser for my school called Christmas At Our House, which consisted of a variety of events including tours of immaculately decorated homes for Christmastime. Year after year I would help my mother out by working these events. I loved the joy coordinating these events brought her.
At Chico State, I received a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Administration, Event Management. I learned a ton in my time here and gained thousands of hours of real-life experience working in the events industry. I've had experience planning a fundraising gala for a local non-profit, promoting and executing business networking events as a marketing and events assistant, and managing the registration of 9,000+ attendees at a conference in Las Vegas. During those experiences, I picked up a plethora of skills. I am an effective communicator, quick problem solver, and outgoing individual. I work very hard at everything I do and pride myself in my work ethic.
My professional goals include finding a career in meeting and conference planning, experiencing promotion in the next 3 years, and increasing my professional contacts by developing good relationships with professionals in my industry.
I am open to working for a third party event planing company or in house for a large company that needs a meeting planner.
